Webmaster: It's an honor to have you on the web site tonight. Can I call you Dan?
Dan: I'll leave that up to you. I'm a burn out tonight.
Webmaster: I know what you mean, hee hee ....
When you sent me these pictures the other day I was shocked.
It is so rare to have photographs like this from those old days.
Dan: I know I have a couple more but don't have a clue where they are. It's been 37 years.
Webmaster: I know, time flies, don't it? Those must have been some wild times, huh?
Dan: Had a great time but didn't work out to well with 12 o clock bed check!!!
Webmaster: Far out man! Like wow, you guys had a bed check?
Those lifers must have been real pricks.
Dan: Seems like yesterday.
Webmaster: Don't it though? Tell us a little about this next picture if you will.
Looks like you guys were doing a little chug-a-lug between the songs.

Dan: The cats were away, so the mice could play.
Webmaster: Cat's were away?
Dan: Holiday.
Webmaster: Hey that rhymes! ....
Cat's Away, Hol-i-Day; Cat's Away, Hol-i-Day!
Sounds like we got a little lyric going here, hee, hee, hee!
Dan: That's about it ....
Webmaster: Hey, I'm sorry. Please, I just got carried away.
Can't we just continue?
I'll try to control myself.
Dan: Might be better to do ....
Webmaster: Thanks man ....
Who is in the picture and what year was it?
Dan: Can't remember the drummers name,
DC Burton Guitar.
64
Webmaster: You know Dan, judging from this next picture ....

.... it looks like you guys practiced a lot inside the barracks.
It must have drove the other guys crazy unless you were really really good.
What songs did you play?
Dan: Walk, Don't Run, Ventures,
Beatles-Money-Hard Days Night etc,
Woolly Bully-Sam The Sham-etc.
Little songs like Peanut Butter-
Webmaster: Peanut butter? I don't ....
Dan: I like peanut butter, you like peanut butter, we all like peanut butter.
Webmaster: That meant something totally different in Bill Clinton's army you know ....
Dan: Next verse-Change-I like Betty Grable,
spread out on the table,
you'll like Betty Grable too!
Webmaster: Wow! Groovy!
Dan: Another: What'd I Say-Change-Verse 2, Hey woman all dressed in black,
she makes her living on her back,
3rd verse,
hey woman all dressed in red,
she makes her living in her bed.
I'm sure you heard before!
Webmaster: Actually I saw some of that up in K-Town in 73.
This is so exciting Dan!
It makes me want to do the twist again .... "like I did last summer" ... Hee, Hee, Hee ....
Sorry about that.
So you guys actually played for the Germans in Pirmasens?
It must have been just like when the Beatles played in Hamburg.
Where did you play again?
Dan: V-Bar, A-Bar, Heidies etc. Heidies Gasthaus, Pirmasens.
Webmaster: And, who is in this picture?
Dan: Lee Cochran, Wesley Johnson, Mac Carmick, myself 1963.
Webmaster: That's fantastic!
Well, Dan, I've certainly had a wonderful time.
And now I've got a little surprise for you.
I actually found a picture of Heidi's daughter!
You know, the little girl who waited tables while you played?
Dan: Don't know ....
Webmaster: Well, It seems that you guys brought in so much business,
and she was so busy waiting tables,
that she got in great shape and became a famous German athlete.
Here she is in 1975
Ain't she something?
We found her last year cracking chestnuts at the Christmas Market.
Hey, Thanks a lot for being with us tonight Dan!
Dan: Thanks for all your good and hard work! I guess we were to cool!
Webmaster: That's for dang sure!
Thanks again for sharing it with us.
And now we have something very very special for our guests.
Sit back ladies and gentlemen and enjoy ....
